# I'm unable to access a remote cluster on Lens

Hi team kindly assist I’m trying to connect on my remote cluster using lens however I’m getting this error.

E0409 14:37:46.271589 60462 proxy\_server.go:147] Error while proxying request: tls: failed to verify certificate: x509: certificate signed by unknown authority (possibly because of “crypto/rsa: verification error” while trying to verify candidate authority certificate “kubernetes”)

Hello, what is the certificate authority “kubernetes”? Is it a custom CA and if so has it been loaded into the global CA for your OS?

Hello, I have the same Problem. kubectl has no problem accessing the cluster but Lens thorws the same error.

Do you have a solution?

like @cshulc, we are also getting the “Error while proxying request” error. seems like it started after upgrading to 2025.4.92142-latest

kubectl works fine.
