Hello Lens Community,
I’m currently trying to install and test extensions in Lens, but I haven’t found any way to do so. I’ve checked the Preferences menu, looked for an Extensions tab, and even tried using the Lens CLI, but there doesn’t seem to be a straightforward option available in the version I’m using.
Am I missing something obvious? Or has the extension support been restricted or removed in recent updates?

Extension support is currently removed in the latest Lens release.
When you say “currently removed” is this a temporary change? Will this be added again in the future?
This wasn’t mentioned in the release notes, and I’ve now lost access to my custom extensions.
Hi @cptlemming , this is a temporary change indeed as we had to make major architectural changes to our Extension API to support new and better features as well as long awaited optimizations some authors were requesting.
If you rely on extensions on your day-to-day work, I would recommend to downgrade to our Legacy version following these instructions, until we ship support to extensions in the new Lens.
