Logs bounce after scroll to top

When viewing logs, if you scroll to the top, the logs keep bouncing back to the top when you try and scroll down.

This makes checking logs impossible.

To stop the “bouncing/autoscrolling to top” you have to close the logs view, and re-open. But again if you scroll reaches the top you cannot scroll down again without the bouncing back to the top. this also happens on pods which new logs are not generated so it’s not a refresh of the log lines at the bottom.

This is extremely frustrating. So much so that team members are looking at alternatives.

It’s been like this for quite a while, only similar issue I see logged is a user on github:

I see mention that it is on your radar, any idea when it will be fixed?

Hi @agericke,

Thanks for the report!

Good news: the scroll-jump and flicker you’re describing is already fixed on our side. It’s been merged and verified internally, and will land in an upcoming stable release. I’ll come back to this thread once the build is public so you can grab it.

Thanks for sticking with us!

Hi @agericke,

The fix for this just shipped in Lens 2026.5.181248-latest, available now at Lens – Download. Mousewheel scroll in the Logs panel now respects your scroll position, so the bounce-to-top behaviour should be gone. Thanks again for the report – if anything is still off after updating, please reply here and we’ll take another look.
