Not able to setup Lens

Hey I am trying to set up Lens but I am not able to do it. When I click on already have a lens Id, it takes me to browser which is fine, but after then it tries to open the app, but is not able to do so I am kind of stuck in a loop. I keep getting the pop up that this site is trying to open the lens app, I mark always allow and click open, but instead of opening the Lens app, it just opens same link in new tab ans asks for same permission again, again I click always allow and same thing happens again. I tried different browser like edge, chrome, safari and same issue with all of them. Please help resove this issue.

Could you please try this quick workaround first:

  1. Close all Lens-related browser tabs
  2. Open Lens ID in your browser
  3. Sign in there with your Lens ID credentials
  4. Start the Lens Desktop app again and click “I already have a Lens ID”

Then please reply and tell me what happened (did the loop stop or is it still the same?).

To help us narrow it down, also include:

  • your OS + version (Windows/macOS/Linux)
  • Lens Desktop version
  • which browsers you tried

Once we have your feedback, we can pinpoint where the handoff to the app fails and investigate the root cause. Thanks again — we’ll get this sorted.

Just checking in — were you able to try the steps I suggested (closing all browser tabs, signing in at app.k8slens.dev, then restarting Lens)?

If the issue persists, it would help to know:

  • Your macOS version

  • Your Lens Desktop version

  • Which browser(s) you tested with

Hey the issue persisits as it is. I tried all the broswsers, like edge, chrome, safari.

It will just keep opening on new tab clicking on open as I explained above. I was trying to explain here in detail by embedding the images step by step, but it seems lens doesn’t allow new user to embed images in reply which is kinda weird and doesn’t make sense and makes communication only difficult. Hope you fix this too. Because, seriously, how am I gonna show you what is happening now? If something different was happening? Make a new post? Please help me, is this how it’s supposed to work?

My macOS version: macOS Tahoe Version 26.3 (25D125)
Lens Desktop Version: 2026.2.20807-latest
